The public forest of Bouconne
This forest stretches on 2378 hectares and it is administered by the Office National des Forêts. It boasts a very rich fauna and flora with numerous species. You may catch a glimpse of a roe deer, a hare or a wild boar.
The forest welcomes hikers, sportspersons, hunters, fishermen and nature lovers.

Five car parks and the Base de loisirs offer you an access to the forest. You will find trails dedicated to hiking (including GR653), bike and horse riding. Ecology and educational paths also await you in Bouconne.
An important element of the forest heritage is a ten-meter-high Chappe telegraph tower. It was built in 1800 and was used until 1850 to send messages.

Forest of Cavaillé in Larra and forest in Le Burgaud
The Domaine de Cavaillé is a 37-hectare wild setting with meadows and forests with a small river called Rieutort.
Its hiking trails are dedicated do the discovery of the local flora and fauna of this protected area.
The forest in Le Burgaud stretches on 300 hectares and welcomes nature lovers. It offers nice walks in an area filled with various tree species.
