Description

This forest stretches on 2378 hectares and it is administered by the Office National des Forêts. It boasts a very rich fauna and flora with numerous species that you may notice when rambling on its hiking trails.

In the heart of the Bouconne Forest there is a recreational park area. Having both sports and cultural facilities available, visitors are welcome to use this natural setting. The Bouconne Forest, the last major greenbelt for the Toulouse metropolitan area is a state-owned forest which is nearly 5000 acres with 740 acres of municipal woodlands and 138 acres on the recreational park facility. Tennis, mini-golf, mountain biking, a swimming pool, paths and hiking trails, a Chappe telegraph tower, ecology discovery trail, orientation course and guided nature tours.
