Description
Meet Lilian and Viviane, producers and defenders of Cadours PDO Purple Garlic.
Lilian and Viviane Bernard invite you to meet them on their family farm, for direct farm sales and a chance to share their know-how. They grow a mixed crop of mainly Purple Garlic, but also shallots, onions, wheat and sunflowers, all on a surface area of 1 hectare. Violet garlic is produced and packaged in the traditional way, with hand-braiding and drying on bars only. What sets them apart, however, is their intention to take the production chain to the very end, packaging the Purple Garlic in a range of by-products, including Violet Garlic pasta, as well as onion flour and dried pasta. As well as selling directly from the farm, you can find their products in the online shop.
