BRIGNEMONT

Description

On the hillsides of Brignemont, at the gateway to the Gers and Tarn-et-Garonne, Béatrice Theau passionately cultivates Cadours Violet Garlic, the emblem of the local terroir. Born into a family of farmers, she perpetuates traditional know-how by working her land by hand, from planting to harvesting in June, followed by natural drying to ensure optimum conservation and remarkable flavour.

The farm sells purple garlic directly to the public in various forms: loose, in braids, in nets or in bags, as well as garlic shoots in the spring. Béatrice is also developing a range of artisanal processed products that bring out the best in this exceptional ingredient: garlic confit, garlic petals, flavoured oil, black garlic, black garlic nectar, traditional ‘tourin’ and a selection of gourmet confits and preparations. Every step is carried out with care to preserve the flavours and showcase authentic local produce. A visit to the farm offers the chance to discover a flagship product of the Hauts Tolosans region, chat with a dedicated producer and benefit from short supply chains to buy directly from the source. An ideal destination for lovers of fine dining and local produce. An added bonus: the farm has a stall at the Grenade markets on Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons during the season, as well as once a month at the Cadours farmers’ market (Sundays).
