BRIGNEMONT

Description

On the hillsides of Brignemont, at the gateway to the Gers and Tarn-et-Garonne, Béatrice Theau passionately cultivates Cadours Violet Garlic, the emblem of the local terroir. Born into a family of farmers, she perpetuates traditional know-how by working her land by hand, from planting to harvesting in June, followed by natural drying to ensure optimum conservation and remarkable flavour.

The farm sells violet garlic direct in a variety of forms: loose, plaited, netted or bagged, as well as carnations in the spring. Béatrice is also developing a range of artisanal processed products that bring out the best in this exceptional product: garlic confit, petals, flavoured oil, black garlic, black garlic nectar, traditional tourin or even confits and gourmet preparations. Each stage is carried out with care to preserve the flavours and promote authentic local production. Visiting the farm means discovering a flagship product from the Hauts Tolosans, talking to a committed producer and taking advantage of short distribution channels to consume directly from the source. An ideal address for lovers of gastronomy and local produce. The little extra: a presence at the Grenade markets on Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons in season, as well as once a month at the Cadours farmers' market (Sunday).
