LA FERME DE FABART
BRIGNEMONT
Description
On the hillsides of Brignemont, Joël SOLDI and his son Pierre perpetuate a family farming tradition dedicated mainly to growing Cadours PDO violet garlic.
On a small 70-hectare farm, father and son grow Cadours violet garlic, shallots and onions using traditional methods. The garlic is harvested with its stalk and then dried on wooden bars to preserve all its qualities. Most of the production is sold in the form of hand-made braids. The farm is committed to High Environmental Value, and offers direct sales of its products from July to October, as well as at the Wednesday purple garlic farmers' market in Cadours during the season (dedicated to professionals). Since 2024, the farm has also been home to Aberdeen Angus cows, a hardy breed fed exclusively on grass.
