Discover the poetic and creative world of Sophie Avalle, a passionate potter specialising in stoneware pottery and homemade glazes, a rare technique combining artistic know-how and the chemistry of materials.

In her 30 m² workshop-boutique, Sophie creates unique small crockery: bowls, mugs, beer mugs... Each piece is designed, turned and enamelled by hand, with particular attention paid to colours, textures and shapes. Local, authentic and responsible. As well as her stoneware culinary pieces, Sophie also makes porous terracotta pottery for the garden, including the famous Puits d'Ô. These intelligent pots release only the water needed by the plants: an ancestral, ecological and practical system that saves more than half on traditional watering. Orchid pots, garden containers... His creations combine aesthetics and utility. During your visit, you'll discover a lively place where exhibits and workspaces come together. You can observe her techniques, discuss her skills or take part in an introductory pottery course (by appointment). The workshops are open to up to 6 people (4 for throwing) and are also suitable for families, with parent-child sessions available for children aged 5 and over, by prior arrangement. Gift vouchers are available for a unique creative experience. Sophie Avalle's creations can also be found in a number of boutiques around Toulouse and in the shop of the Hauts Tolosans Tourist Office. A visit to her workshop is an ideal opportunity to take home a locally-designed, handcrafted souvenir, and to support authentic know-how in the Occitanie region.
